How to Use ChatGPT to Choose a Domain Name for a Personal Website:
Step 1:
Go to ChatGpt. If you don’t have an account sign up. It’s quick and free.
Step 2:
Open Microsoft Word, Google docs, Notepad, or any text software.
Copy and paste the prompt below in a word doc (or any text software) and fill it in.
This is the Prompt for ChatGpt how to choose a domain name:
Give me a list of 20 domain name suggestions for a [type of website] website. Users of this website would be looking for [pain point]. Only include .com endings. Make sure these name suggestions are catchy and memorable.
Fill in the prompt with your type of website and pain point.
A pain point is what your target audience is struggling with and needs a solutions for.
For example, let’s imagine I want to find a domain for a home décor website whose target audience’s pain point is that they are struggling to find diy home décor and interior design ideas for their home.
This is how I would fill out the prompt above:
Give me a list of 20 domain name suggestions for a home decor website. Users of this website would be looking for diy home décor and interior design ideas. Only include .com endings. Make sure these name suggestions are catchy and memorable.
Step 3:
Paste the prompt in ChatGpt. It will give you a list of domain names to use.

Step 4:
Next we will look at domain name availability. Go into a domain bulk search like GoDaddy and paste the list.
This will show you the availability of the domain names.
You can see which domains are available. Out of 20 domain names it tells you that 8 are available, 2 require auctions and 10 are unavailable.

- my second choice would be diydecorpalace.com
Just so you know, I have no interest in creating a Diy home décor website. I don’t consider myself very décor savvy. Putting outfits together is enough for me in terms of creativity and color coordination. I draw the line there. I have no interest in analyzing 10 shades of beige and figuring out which one would be best for a chalet living room with direct sunlight.
